In 2013, on-line programming began with the BlackBoard Learning Management System (LMS). Now, on our own LMS, we offer a 100% fully on-line class with scheduling that meets the requirements of modern 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points.

Arnold "Al" Scheinberg

Captain Al served as a Volunteer with City of Boca Raton 9-1-1 from 2001 until his passing at 98 in 2016, working 3 days a week - including holidays. His spirit to serve was an inspiration to all and we are proud to name this award in his honor.

Scholarships@DispatchAcademy.com will accept applications from aspiring students and award deserving recipients with a full tuition to our online 911 Dispatch Academy. Winners will be judged on a written essay detailing "Why I Want To Be a 911 Dispatcher" and the impact Volunteering has had on their lives.

Applicants will submit an essay by email to Scholarships@911DispatchAcademy.com

Length of essay is at applicant’s discretion

Title of essay is "Why I Want To Be a 9-1-1 Dispatcher"

Preference will be given to applicant(s) who detail how the trait of Volunteerism has positively impacted their life

Veteran status/service will be given preference in any tie situation

Scholarships will be awarded at least 1 week prior to the beginning of a scheduled class

Scholarship is good for one full cost of tuition ($795.00 value) to 911DispatchAcademy.com class

Student is still responsible for purchase of text book
